1941, enfin ! Et j'étais sûr que cela viendrait de LLL. Après tout, le label devait s'appelait "Hollywoodland" records en référence au surnom de LA et en référence à ce film de Spielberg.

Tout de même, le Varese originel reste tristement emblématique des albums minimalistes qui proliféraient à l'époque, réduisant à la traditionnelle demi-heure une partition qui, si je ne m'abuse, doit bien compter trois fois plus de matière. Allons, allons, Forrest, ne me dis surtout pas que tu t'étais imaginé, dans un irrépressible élan de naïveté et d'espoir candide, que le titre mystère pourrait porter haut les couleurs d'un certain compositeur à la fière et hirsute crinière léonine... Nous sommes depuis trop longtemps fixés sur le dédain des éditeurs à l'égard du regretté Michael pour continuer ainsi à nous bercer de ces cruelles illusions, n'est-ce pas ?

Donc à priori, pas de redondance avec le coffret FSM, vu que Ron Jones ne semble pas faire partie des compositeurs présents sur ce nouveau titre.
Reste à savoir, sachant que la partie Ron Jones avait donné lieu à 14 CD, ce que pourrait donner l'intégrale des autres compositeurs !!
D'un autre côté, vu le nombre de volume 1 qui n'ont jamais vu de suite...
Je le prendrai certainement, s'il ne fait doublon avec les CD précédemment sortis chez... GNP Crescendo, il me semble.

Quelle brochette d'annonces, quand même !
L'album original de 1941 est une grande réussite du point de vue agencement des morceaux, mais cette galette double-complète devrait être une expérience de mickey-mousing assez jouissive dans le genre. Pour moi, THE GOLDEN CHILD sera une découverte complète par contre, et si je connais très très mal Colombier, l'idée de le découvrir assorti de la version Barry est assez alléchante... mais j'attends les extraits. Et puis BATMAN FOREVER (même si je pense me contenter de celui que j'ai déja), FOREVER YOUNG, et maintenant ce STAR TREK TNG ... les BOphiles ont sont gatés !

Die Hard arrive mais MV peine à retrouver le générique de fin (il ne sait visiblement pas de quelle version de l' Ode à la joie il s'agit... ni même si c'est Kamen ou non qui l'a réenregistrée!)... Encore quelques mois de patience.

(July 8, 2011- Los Angeles, CA) – La-La Land Records announces the premiere of their limited edition 3CD set Star Trek: The Next Generation Collection, Volume 1. The recording will debut at the La-La Land Records Booth at the San Diego Comic-Con, July 20-24, (housed in the Toy Hungry booth #429).
Featuring more than 3 full hours of previously unreleased music, Star Trek: The Next Generation Collection, Volume 1 showcases some of the most dynamic pieces of score ever composed for this beloved and acclaimed series.
Renowned composers Dennis McCarthy, Jay Chattaway, Don Davis, John Debney and Fred Steiner are all represented on this limited edition set of 3000 Units, which complies many of the very best musical contributions to the most famous and celebrated sci-fi franchise in television history. Produced by Ford Thaxton, Mark Banning, James Nelson and Lukas Kendall, this release, mastered by James Nelson, includes a 32-Page Booklet featuring liner notes from film/TV music writer Jeff Bond.
Star Trek: The Next Generation Collection, Volume 1 will be available for purchase exclusively at Comic-Con at the La-La Land Booth (#429). It will later be made available on the La-La Land website - http://www.lalalandrecords.com, as well as other soundtrack online outlets, beginning August 2, 2011 (suggested retail price $34.98).

Le vieux Van Cleef s'en voudrait de te laisser partir seul au front, Trooper, en particulier lorsqu'il s'agit de défendre la cause de la trop peu estimée Shirley Walker. (sinon j'ai beau relire les posts précédents, je ne comprends pas de quelle composition de Walker bientôt éditée vous parlez. J'ai du manquer une ligne quelque part

Voilà la ligne que tu as dû louper
Pour le thème de Justice League, il semblerait que ça soit le travail du trio Dynamic Music Partners (Lolita Ritmanis, Kristopher Carter et Michael McCustion), tous trois formés à l'école Walker. Pour sa disponibilité, aucune idée, mais ça ne m'étonnerait pas que ça soit inédit en CD ou en téléchargement (pour l'instant).

Et pour te donner une idée du travail (j'ai totalement accroché à la musique en regardant la série, mais fallait pas cligner des yeux pour ne pas la louper à l'époque, diffusée sur M6 à des horaires... plutôt irréguliers) de Shirley Walker pour Space: Above & Beyond :Darkashram a écrit :Space Above and Beyond (3 cd set)
Le ton est très différent des ses travaux pour les séries animées, ce qui pourra en refroidir plus d'un. C'est bizarrement héroïco-dépréssif (ou martialo-dépressif plutôt), ce qui collait parfaitement à l'imagerie grisâtre de la série, et l'aspect orchestral à l'ancienne permettait également de compenser l'aspect "télé" et les effets spéciaux digitaux un brin... minimalistes (même pour 1995). Et voilà ! Commande passée pour le Golden Child 3CD !Le score de Barry a l'air magnifique, d'après les extraits sur le site de LLL, l'autre est beaucoup plus marqué années 80, j'aime bien ce style également.
Ca va être intéressant de comparer les deux approches !
